The Winter Solstice

it’s the longest night of the year

Officially the winter solstice happened at 10:02 Greenwich Mean Time yesterday, Monday December 21st.  That was when the North Pole had its maximum tilt away from the sun, and that moment was the astronomical winter solstice.  Now, and not New Year’s Day, is the best time to focus on self-reflection and regeneration.

Depending on how you look at it, last night was either midwinter, or the beginning of winter.  As far as the weather goes, I know we have a lot of winter left to come.

This night was filled with the energy of the moon.
