Poetry Anthology
Seascapes and Serenity Lost

~
You can probably learn more about me by reading some of my poetry anthology than you could ever learn from anything I ever posted on here ~ and I have promulgated some gritty and very personal stuff.
Anyhow, my anthology is now available on Amazon, in several important countries, including the US, UK, and points east. (For some good reasons, for the next few days the print copy is ‘author only’)
The words and pictures are all my own work, and there are a lot of photographs interleaved with the poetry.
I am also deeply indebted to Jan Olandese, who edited the whole thing.

the shining sea
talks with me
Dreams of Inner Peace
Hold infinity in your soul, and eternity in your dreams

~
haunting music of the wind, wave counterpointed, kaleidoscope echoed
wildly framed the seascape bowl with solitary figure slowly walking
alone against a world struggling, changing but ever the same

men, mankind, tide, and time change
but the sea is the ever the same
Scenes on Sunday ~ Skies
I dream of balance, purity, mystery, spirituality, and serenity.

Serenity
The only thing you can change is yourself.
The Serenity Prayer
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And, the wisdom to know the difference
~
(Add a Deity or Higher Power of your choice at the beginning of the prayer if you wish.)
After twenty years of struggle I have made a little sense of this simple prayer. I know I cannot change another person, nor do I have the right to try. I cannot change the world. What I need is the courage to change myself. I am the only thing in this cosmos I can truly change. That is immensely difficult to accept, and even more difficult to make meaningful progress in. All a good guy can do is try.
~
The only thing you can change is you
Everything else you try to change
Is either impossible, meaningless, or strange
The good thing is that when you change you
The world and everything in it changes too

Back when I was an overpaid banker in the City of London I used to suffer terribly from anxiety, stress, and worrying too much about everything and nothing. I was even hospitalised for 8 weeks due to stress, (and because of the effects of my chosen anti-anxiety medication ~ drinking too much booze).
these thoughts are mine,
