Monochrome Monday ~ White Christmas
some say that black Christmases matter too
Excuse my irreverence, but if I can have a black beach here, then I’m pretty certain I can get black snow here too. It’s Bing Crosby, White Christmas, in black and white monochrome.
The song White Christmas has featured in innumerable movies, and over 100 million copies of this simple melody have been sold on various media since its first release in 1942. Bing Crosby and Irving Berlin must have been chuffed to bits.

that beach is black
it’s made of pulverised coal
Christmas Fun ~ Crosby
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
but if the white runs out I’ll drink the red.
As old and as cynical as I am, this song, at this time of year, can still bring a tear to my eye. It reminds me of Christmases past, and gives me hope for Christmases still to come.
Please listen joyously.
